Baker's Shire Daycare

Philosophy

Baker’s Shire Daycare sees the value in providing child care in the unique combination of a home and preschool setting. I believe that children benefit from the physical environment of a home, which allows for a small, cozy setting that feels like their own home as well as interactions with a multi-age group and long-term relationship building with a trusted adult and other children. As they age, children also benefit from the elements of a preschool with a schedule, routines, themes/topics of discussion, and field trip experiences. All of these experiences will serve to help shape children and set them up for success in the future.

Mission

Provide care for children that builds a foundation starting in infancy and continuing throughout their elementary years.
Build strong relationships with children as a trusted adult who will meet their needs.
Foster all aspects of their development by providing rich experiences through both structured and unstructured activities.
Develop and grow the following types of skills: daily living and self-care, problem solving and independence, language, motor, pre-academic, social, emotional regulation
Provide children with a variety of experiences in different settings that allow them to explore and learn more about the world as well as opportunities to meet and socialize with other children.

Baker's Shire Daycare is a family in-home child care, established in 2022. I provide infant/toddler care, full day preschool, before/after school care, and summer care for ages 12 weeks - 8 years.
